Big Hat Event

The Big Hat Event is an annual fundraiser presented by Blair’s Foster Socks. As far as charity events go, this gala style affair is unlike any other. At the Big Hat, women within the community to come together with one purpose: to help our charitable foundation raise money for children in distressed situations. So bring your favorite ladies and wear your BIGGEST hat!

Each year, our charitable foundation selects a different Kansas City area venue to host the event. We also call out to all local businesses to participate. Whether participating as a vendor in our Shop for Hope Showcase or donating goods to the silent auction benefiting our charitable foundation, all are welcome. The Big Hat is one of the most entertaining charity events in the Kansas City metro. In the past we have featured a fashion show, hosted a photo booth, and provided delicious hors d’oeuvres.

Funds from the Big Hat and all our charity events are earmarked for scholarships supporting children in need. Many children in distressed situations have been abruptly removed from the only place they’ve called home into completely unfamiliar living arrangements. Others are able to stay with their families, but still face daily hardships. Regardless of their specific situations, these children experience fear, stress and chaos that disrupts their lives through no fault of their own. Blair’s Foster Socks strives to bring comfort and hope to these children with clean, fun socks and scholarships provided by funds from our charity events.

The 4th Annual Big Hat Event

This year’s Big Hat Event will be hosted at Blue Springs Country Club on June 6, 2015. Grab your biggest hat and all your friends and enjoy an evening of fun, food, and fellowship in support of our charitable foundation. If you have been to any of our past charity events, then you know that the Big Hat will be a wonderful time! We invite you to join us in celebrating hope within the community and our organization.
